Pembina Valley Challenge
 
May 31/June 1 2008 Fundraiser. Are you looking for a challenge? Join 149 other cyclists (Yes! Only 150 may register) and hit the hills in Southern Manitoba for the first-ever Pembina Valley Challenge. Begin in Notre Dame de Lourdes (just over an hour's drive from Winnipeg) and head through the valley to Morden, Manitoba. You'll enjoy all the rest stops and support that comes with all RONA MS Bike Tours. Day 1: 72 km, Day 2: 71km  All details and registration info on their website
 

Red Rock Bible Camp Cyclathon 38 June 2, 2007 Fundraiser. The cyclathon is a fund raising event to support the Red Rock Bible Camp summer program and to provide camperships for needy campers. It is a Special Event that is run by permission of the RCMP. Cyclists are fully supported en route by a host of volunteers who provide: snack, lunch, first aid, motor cycle escort, other escort vehicles, caution and directional signage, flag person direction at intersections, portable washrooms, bicycle repair and more. Resource Conservation Manitoba Commuter Challenge June 3 to 9, 2007
 
The Commuter Challenge is a workplace-based alternative transportation challenge. A friendly 5-day competition to see how many individuals in workplaces and schools in Winnipeg can adopt alternative forms of transportation to get where they're going. Bike the Interlake for MCC (Mennonite Central Committee) June 23, 2007

Fundraiser. The annual MCC Bike the Interlake will take place on June 23 and 24, 2007. From Birds Hill Park to Hecla island. This 186 km route. begins at the East Beach of Birds Hill Park, and will cycle north to Selkirk and then on to the Goose Park at Petersfield. Enjoy the view along Lake Winnipeg as you cycle on to Gimli Bible Camp for the night. On Sunday cycle the remaining 90 kms passing through Hnausa, Riverton and ending at Hecla Island. Fundraiser. Saturday, June 30, 2007. Cycle on the Clear Lake Trail, 34 km circling Clear Lake, in beautiful Riding Mountain National Park. The major part of the trail is single track through the boreal forest along the shore of the lake. More information and online registration on their Website.
 
Habitat for Humanity Ride  June 30 to July 14, 2007 Fundraiser. Averaging about 125 km per day Beginner to Athletic Recreation (i.e.. could be 20 km/h average or 36 - 40 km/h). It's not a race.  All meals, transportation and lodging are included in your trip. No extra hidden costs. Each rider is responsible for raising raising a predetermined amount of money. Website

The Blocks Cycle XC8 - Saskatoon Sk, September 8, 2007

The Blocks Cycle XC8: 8 Hour Endurance Race is hosted by the Off Road Syndicate and is the only race of its kind in Saskatchewan. It's all about challenging yourself, having a great time, and it will be an experience you'll never forget. The race course is located in Buffalo Pound Provincial Park north of Moose Jaw, SK. The park has been a favourite of bikers for many years, and was the site of Canada Cup XC races in 2000 and 2002. Race solo or in open gender teams of 2 or 4. More info @ http://www.xc8.ca

September 6/7, 2008 Fundraiser, the RMC is held in Riding Mountain National Park. Day One is primarily uphill with plenty of support if needed. Four rest stops and one water stop. Day Two is mostly downhill. Riders must raise a minimum in pledges. All money raised supports research into the cause and cure for Multiple Sclerosis and funds valuable services and programs for Manitobans living with MS. Head for the Hills Ride September 8, 2007

5th annual "Head for the Hills" fundraising bike ride on Saturday September 8, 2007. All ages are invited to raise funds for mental health recovery and join our 32 km. ride rolling farm roads and buff single-track along the escarpment south of Morden, MB. Full support along the ride with live band at the noon barbeque overlooking the Red River Valley. $20 registration includes T-shirt, plenty of food and excellent prizes including 2 bikes to the highest fundraisers. Challenge your body and your mind. All proceeds go to support the mental health recovery programs of Eden Health Care Services across Manitoba and Winnipeg. Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg's Ride around the Lake September 13-16, 2007 Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg's inaugural Ride Around the Lake fundraiser: Join us September 13 - 16 for four days of scenic cycling as we make our way around Lake of the Woods. The route will take us from West Hawk scale, to Nestor Falls, to Kenora, and back. Each evening we will unwind in warm, welcoming, and comfortable lodges.
